Cotswold Interiors, Designed For the Way You Live

Whole-home renovations and furnishing projects across Cheltenham and the Cotswolds.

Cotswolds Interior Designers

You probably already know how you’d like your home to feel. The harder part is knowing where to start, especially when the house itself might not be laid out as you’d like.

A previous extension that took away light from the kitchen. A room that’s never used and nobody can quite explain why. A layout that forces you through one space to get to another.

We look at that first and sense-check the layout works. Once the house makes sense, your furnishings, lighting, joinery, materials and finishes can be developed as one considered scheme – rather than a series of separate decisions made under pressure as the build progresses.

Jayne and Ian

Based in Cheltenham, working across the Cotswolds

We design and deliver whole-home projects across the region – from period cottages and barn conversions to listed townhouses and family homes.

We work across Cheltenham, Cirencester, Tetbury, Burford, Broadway, Chipping Campden and the golden triangle villages around Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Norton and Kingham.

Whether you’re here or elsewhere

Many of our clients are based in London or abroad and need someone they trust to take the lead locally.

Others live in the Cotswolds but don’t have the time or headspace to manage a major project alongside everything else.

Either way, the result is the same; a finished home, ready to enjoy, without having to manage it yourself.

We know the Cotswolds

We’ve been based in Cheltenham and working across the region for fifteen years. We know what’s involved in renovating listed buildings, which materials sit right alongside Cotswold stone, and which local trades and suppliers deliver….and which ones don’t.

That kind of knowledge doesn’t show up in a mood board, but it’s often the difference between a project that runs smoothly and one that doesn’t.

A Clear, End-to-End Process — From First Ideas to Final Styling

Designing a home is complex — but it doesn’t need to feel that way.

We guide every Cotswolds interior design project through a clear six-step process, managing everything from layouts and lighting to furniture, finishes, and final styling.

A visual summary of The House Ministry’s 6-step full-service interior design process, including foundation, concept design, detailed design, procurement, on-site works, and final handover.

Our six-step process keeps everything calm and considered:

1.  Foundation – We get to know your lifestyle, your priorities, and how you want to live.

2.  Concept Design – Thoughtful layouts and early 3D visuals to explore your home’s potential.

3.  Detailed Design – Every finish, fitting and furnishing carefully selected and costed.  Fully visualised in 3D.

4.  Procurement & Preparation – We place orders, coordinate trades, and prepare for site start.

5.  On-Site Works – We manage everything — from structural work to final installation.

6.  Completion & Handover – A fully finished home, ready to enjoy.

What Our Clients Value Most

Every project is unique — but our Cotswolds clients tend to want the same things: a beautifully designed home that feels calm, characterful, and entirely their own — delivered without the stress.

Some are managing the renovation of a second home from afar. Others are relocating and want a home that’s ready to live in. Many simply don’t have the time or headspace to oversee the countless moving parts.

What they all value is clarity, trust, and a design partner who can lead the whole process with care and competence. That’s exactly what we provide — so they can enjoy the journey as much as the result.

Considering an Interior Design Project in the Cotswolds?

Whether you’re planning a full renovation, upgrading a second home, or relocating to the area — we’d love to hear more.

Working with an interior designer should feel calm and straightforward from the very start. Whether it’s your first time or you’ve worked with designers before, we’ll guide you with structure, clarity, and care.

How to Get Started:

1.  Discuss Your Project Form – A short form to help us get to know you and your project and see if we’re the right fit.

2.  Share A Few Details – We’ll ask for some simple information – enough to give tailored advice, not a questionnaire.

3.  Home Visit – If it sounds like a good fit on both sides, we’ll arrange a visit to explore the space outline your best next steps.

For Homes that are Elegant. Practical. Unmistakably yours — across the Cotswolds.

Still pondering your Cotswolds Project?

Do you work with listed or heritage properties?

Yes — many of the homes we work on in the Cotswolds are listed or in conservation areas. We understand the restrictions and approvals involved, and we design with sensitivity to original features while enhancing modern liveability.

Can you manage everything if we’re not based locally?

Absolutely. Many of our clients live elsewhere — in London or overseas — and trust us to oversee every stage, from spatial planning and design through to trades, procurement and final styling. We’re your eyes and ears on the ground.

What’s different about designing homes in the Cotswolds?

Cotswold homes often come with thick stone walls, low ceilings, quirky layouts, or planning constraints — and that’s part of their charm. We work with, not against, the character of the building to create elegant, practical spaces that feel entirely your own.

How do you manage the design process and keep clients informed?

We guide every stage of the project through a clear six-step process — from understanding how you want to live, through to layouts, full design development, and final installation.

You’ll know exactly where we are at each stage, and we keep communication calm, concise, and tailored to you.

Whether you’re local or managing things from afar, you’ll never need to chase — and you’ll never feel overwhelmed.

How involved do I need to be in the design process?

You’ll be involved at key moments — particularly during the design phase — where we’ll schedule meetings in advance, working around your diary. Outside of those points, we handle the legwork behind the scenes.

Each week, we keep you informed with concise updates, without overloading you with detail. When it’s time to review the particular design stage, you’ll receive a fully curated presentation — thoughtfully tailored to your brief — with the opportunity to approve or request small tweaks.

Our role is to keep everything moving smoothly, so you’re never overwhelmed and always guided through a clear, well-organised process.

📌 Still have questions?

No fluff. No jargon. Just helpful guidance from a team who’s done it all before.
